Apple App Store Soon to Offer Purchases in Pakistani Rupees.

Apple today announced that it will start charging Pakistani customers in Pakistani Rupees, instead of US dollars.

With this, Pakistani customers will make purchases or pay for their subscriptions in Pakistani rupees, and hence will save at least 3.5% currency exchange fee that banks impose on foreign currency transactions.
Moreover, since customers tend to make more purchases when in local currency, Apple is hoping for more business from with-in Pakistan.
Pakistani developers will also be paid in local currency after this transition.
Apple didn’t communicate a timeline for the roll out of local currency in Pakistan but it is hoped that Pakistani Rupee, as a currency, will be available on App Store with-in next two weeks.
