Microsoft Teams Will Stop Working on Internet Explorer 11 from 30th November

 

From 30, November 2020, the Microsoft teams have not longer be supported for Internet Explorer 11.  

On 17, August 2020, the company officials spread the news that Microsoft teams and Microsoft 365 Apps will stop working on Internet explorer 11by August 2021. 

                       

 On 30 November 2020, MS Teams will not Support IE 11. On March 9, 2021 end of life of Microsoft Edge Legacy. After March, the desktop application of Microsoft Edge Legacy will not receive new security updates, the Microsoft blog said.  

From August 17, 2021, IE 11 will not support MS 365 Apps.

As per the above statement, Microsoft Company disables the working of MS teams on IE 11 from the beginning of day 30, November 2020.

 Microsoft Team is a video conferencing App with having a lot of features useful for business communication and many more. It is the first attempt from the company to migrate the users of Internet Explorer 11 to the new browser named ‘’Microsoft Edge’’.   

They began working on the new Microsoft Edge around two years ago, listening to the requirements of the customers for world-class compatibility including support for legacy apps, protection, privacy, quick and unified manageability, and productivity. From the inside out, the result is a whole new Microsoft Edge with the latest Microsoft enterprise capabilities. 

Millions of users have updated their home and work browsers to the new Microsoft Edge since its release in January. In addition, the latest Microsoft Edge will be used in new devices and future Windows feature upgrades starting with Windows 10, version 20H2.

As per the in there blog, Edge supports all these applications and can provide a better online experience to its users. It gives a fast browsing experience and has a more secure Chromium-based Edge. 

They said that with the new edge browser, users will have more responsive web access with a lot of toolsets i.e Outlook, Teams, SharePoint. However, by using the new Microsoft Edge, Microsoft promised that customers can get the most out of Microsoft 365. 

The company assured the customers that the transition from E11 to MS Edge will be worthwhile for our customers and they tried their best to make this transition very smooth.
